Howard Stern will not be on the air live on Tuesday (Nov. 8). Infinity has reportedly suspended him for a day for talking about Sirius Satellite Radio on his show too much. On Stern’s Web site, “Howard 100 News” states that WXRK(FM), New York General Manager Tom Chiusano made the announcement.
A spokeswoman for Infinity confirmed to RW Online that Stern would not be live on the air Tuesday and planned to air a “best of” show instead. The company expects him to return live on Wednesday.
Stern’s last live show on Infinity is slated for Dec. 16. He starts on Sirius in January.
Sirius, meanwhile, launched a $50 rebate holiday promotion for most of its radios that runs through Dec. 31.
