Transmitter and power amp maker PTEK has opened a field office in North Carolina.
Its managers cite increased company performance along with major large contracts with the federal government, notably military contracts, as a motivating factor in the expansion. The company is headquarted in California.
PTEK has also seen an increase in international orders, its officials said. It earlier announced the hiring of Lynn Turner, who will run that office.
