The FCC released three more studies on media ownership for public study as part of the agency’s media ownership review.
The studies are: Local Media Ownership and Media Quality, by Adam Rennhoff and Kenneth Wilbur, Broadcast Ownership Rules and Innovation, by Andrew Wise and Local Information Programming and the Structure of Television Markets, by Jack Erb. The commission is making the studies, peer reviews and the authors’ responses available at the FCC web site.
On June 15, the commission released the first five studies. Eventually there will be eleven total studies released that are related to media ownership.
The agency is accepting comments to MB Docket No. 09-182.
