Tom Star Dead at 56

Tom Star is dead, according to the Las Vegas Review Journal; he was 56 and died at his home in Nevada.
Star was co-founder and former president of Talk America Radio Networks and the Sports Final Radio Network. He died April 22 in Henderson after a long battle with cancer, the newspaper said.
He was a former music director, PD, news director and DJ for several country music stations in the Northeast, and also worked as a music talent manager and promoter, talk show host and TV assignment editor.
