Two Earn Public Radio Leadership Award on Hill

Adrienne Hallett, who is advisor to Sen. Tom Harkin (D-Iowa) on public broadcasting issues and a staff member of the Senate Appropriations Committee, was selected as a recipient of the 2007 Public Radio Leadership Award, given by the NPR board of directors and NPR stations.

Cheryl Smith, advisor to Rep. David Obey (D-Wis.) on public broadcasting issues and staff director for the Committee on Appropriations’ Subcommittee on Labor, Health and Human Services, also received the award..

The awards were presented to Hallett and Smith at a ceremony at the Rayburn House Office Building in Washington.
