Two More Emmis Stations LMiV-Powered

Emmis Communications added two Indianapolis online stations via the Local Market Internet Venture: newstalker WIBC(AM) and CHR WNOU(FM).
LMiV is an Internet radio infrastructure and content delivery consortium of radio broadcasters that includes Emmis, as well as Entercom Communications, Jefferson Pilot Communications, Corus Entertainment and Bonneville International Corp. The five companies launched one station each via the LMiV in June 2001.
LMiV plans to add Web sites for the remaining 166 affiliates over the next six months. Emmis has three LMiV-powered stations, with plans for a fourth to come "very soon," according to Jeff Smulyan, Emmis president and LMiV chairman.
