In March, new vehicle sales reached their apex for the past decade in the U.K. — and 45.2 percent of those sold in Q1 2014 featured DAB in the dashboard, according to Digital Radio UK.
These numbers with DAB as standard are significantly up (212,000 out of 464,000) from last year — 144,000, according to new car registrations in the country. This means that, as predicted, the majority of new cars on the road will likely have digital radio as of the second half of 2014.
In addition, Kia has announced that its newest Soul model will join the ranks of cars featuring DAB in the dash.
