Young adults in Africa can tune in to a new VOA radio show called “Up Front.”
The show promises “candid discussions about issues affecting them” in a fast-paced format, VOA stated. The chief of the English to Africa Service is Sonya Laurence Green.
Hosts are Jackson Mvunganyi at VOA headquarters in Washington and Nadia Samie at Bush Radio studios in Cape Town, South Africa. The weekly, 30-minute magazine show airs Wednesdays 1730–1800 UTC, late afternoon/early evening hours in Africa’s time zones. The service targets Anglophone Africa using shortwave, television, the Internet, 40 affiliates and seven dedicated VOA FM stations.
