Walden Will Moderate AES Processing Panel

Walden Will Moderate AES Processing Panel

Glynn Walden will moderate a high-profile panel of audio processing proponents at the AES show in New York in October.
Walden has been named a late replacement for Joe Capobianco, the original moderator, who will be unable to take part.
Walden is known in the industry through his engineering tenures at Ibiquity Digital Corp. as well as CBS Radio and Westinghouse.
Organizer Dave Bialik said the session is important because many AES attendees take great pains to prepare audio without understanding how the product is treated in the air chain. Even many broadcasters, he said, don’t understand processing fully.
Participants are Marvin Caesar of Aphex; Mike Dorrough of Dorrough; Frank Foti of Omnia Audio; Rocky Graham of Dolby; Leonard Kahn of Kahn Communications; Thomas Lund of TC Electronics; Robert Reams of Neural Audio; and David Reaves of Translantech. A roundtable discussion is part of the session, on Saturday, Oct. 11.
