WDBO(AM) says its holiday fundraiser to benefit the Russell Home for Atypical Children raised more than $200,000 in donations.
The Russell Home for Atypical Children in south Orlando, Fla., has been in operation for more than 50 years without government support, the station said. It depends on private donations to operate.
Steve Holbrook, program director at the Cox news-talk station, said, “We are delighted that our listeners have, once again, helped us help this worthwhile organization in such a big way.”
