CBS Radio has signed a multiyear contract renewal with Kevin Weatherly — he will continue to serve as senior vice president of programming for CBS Radio and program director of Los Angeles’ KROQ(FM), KAMP(FM) and KCBS(FM).
He has been with CBS Radio and KROQ for almost 25 years.
Weatherly began his career at the age of 12 at KPIN(FM) in Casa Grande, Ariz. He worked as a disc jockey and music director at KZZP(FM) in Phoenix from 1983–87, later moving on to the music director role at KMEL(FM) in San Francisco. After that, Weatherly became music director at KIIS(FM) in Los Angeles in 1988, before heading to San Diego in 1989 to serve as assistant PD, and later PD, of KKLQ(FM). In 1992, he arrived at KROQ.
CBS Radio owns 117 radio stations in 26 markets as well as an extensive array of digital assets.
