WideOrbit Makes an Inc. List for Growth

Healthy revenue over three years gains nod from magazine publisher

WideOrbit was named to a list of the 5,000 fastest-growing private U.S. companies.

That list is compiled by the publisher of Inc. Magazine. WideOrbit is ranked at position 2,480, with revenue of $37.3 million and three-year growth of 95%. This is the third consecutive year WideOrbit made the list.

The San Francisco-based firm sells business management software for media companies including automation and traffic platforms. The company says it has about 300 employees, though Inc. reported it with 224. Its founder and CEO is Eric Mathewson.

The list is ranked according to percentage revenue growth from 2007 through 2010. Companies must be based in the United States, privately held, for profit and independent — not subsidiaries or divisions of other companies. Minimum revenue for 2010 was $2 million.
