More than 1,000 radio stations are operating on WO Automation for Radio, according to WideOrbit Inc., a provider of advertising management, playout and business software for media companies.
Rogers Media, a division of Canadian diversified media company Rogers Communications, says its 680News station in Toronto was the 1,000th radio station to go live on WO Automation for Radio. The company owns 53 AM and FM radio stations across the Great White North, and it has been a WO Traffic client since 2009 and has used WO Automation for Radio since November 2012.
In August 2009, WideOrbit acquired the assets of Google’s radio automation business in an expansion of its products for radio broadcasters. The company rebuilt the Google radio automation program as WO Automation for Radio.
