Westwood One will simulcast (on radio) the CBS Television special “Grand Ole Opry 75th Anniversary Celebration” on Thanksgiving Day from 9-11 p.m. Eastern.

Country artists Vince Gill and Dolly Parton will host the festivities from Nashville. Stars including Garth Brooks, Trisha Yearwood, the Dixie Chicks, Diamond Rio and Travis Tritt are slated to join country artists for an evening of performances celebrating the anniversary of what WW1 touts as the longest running radio program – the Grand Ole Opry.

Minnie Pearl, Hank Williams Sr. and Earl Scruggs are among the country legends who have performed at the Grand Ole Opry throughout its 75-year history.
