Yawn: May Radio Sales Up 1%

The needle barely moved either way in the latest RAB revenue figures.
The U.S. commercial radio industry saw revenue in May that was 1% higher than in the same month last year, the ad organization stated. The month’s numbers break down this way: local, up 1%; national, down 1%; combined local and national, up 1%; non-spot revenue, down 1%; total combined spot and non-spot, up 1%.
For the first five months of 2006, radio revenue is down 1% overall.
