Calling it a “dramatic overhaul,” the Associated Press has released an upgrade to its ENPS newsroom production software.
Version 7 has a new interface with a customizable desktop. The ENPS Dashboard is also customizable, allowing for easier comprehension of wires, media and assignments. A calendar-based planner is included. Uploading media from the field should be easier, according to a release. An Alert Bar keeps tabs on breaking news and incoming messages.
The upgrade is free to current ENPS users.
A release says that Version 7 was “designed to meet the needs of integrated broadcast and digital newsrooms,” a release said.
