Comrex has okayed an application for iPhone users that will allow them to connect to Access and BRIC-Link codecs.
Media5 Fone is a SIP Client softphone app that runs on the Apple iPhone or iPod iTouch. It is available from the iPhone App Store as a free demo download that will allow calls of one minute in duration. For unlimited call duration, the Media5 Fone app can be downloaded for $4.99.
The company says hundreds of its customers have downloaded its new, free Access Reporter Codec for Android, which was introduced at the NAB Show.
That app, available at the Android Market, allows users connect to a Comrex Access or BRIC-Link codec via their Android 2.1 smartphone’s Wi-Fi or 3G/4G data connection.
