DHD Joins Ravenna

German mixer and router manufacturer is the latest company to sign on

ALC NetworX has announced the addition of Leipzig-Germany based broadcast audio mixer and router manufacturer DHD to its Ravenna community.

Ravenna is a media over IP networking standard that is compatible with the AES67 digital audio network standard. ALC NetworX says Ravenna provides the necessary flexibility to quickly adapt to specific project needs as well as good performance when it comes to high channel counts and low-latency signal distribution.

“Becoming part of the Ravenna community is essential for us as a manufacturer of highly modular mixing consoles. Using Ravenna, we are now able to provide an AoIP solution based on open standards,” said Joerg Deubner, general manager of DHD audio GmbH.

“A mixing console, the central device in a broadcast studio, needs highly reliable audio interfaces with easy set-up and versatile compatibility options. Therefore, interoperability with other AES67 devices was DHD’s core focus when developing their own AES67 implementation for the new DHD XC2 AES67 RAVENNA Interface. This opens up the complete DHD product range to all customers who favor RAVENNA technology for implementing AES67.”
