Thurst Asks Your Opinions About HD Radio

Technical services provider gathers industry input in informal poll

Engineer Paul Thurst, CPBE, is curious about current views of digital radio in the United States, so he’s taking an informal survey.

Thurst is the owner of Data Wave LLC, a broadcast engineering firm based in New York state’s Hudson Valley region. He has 35 years of experience in the radio industry and is a member of the Radio Club of America.

Questions include your opinions of HD Radio, DAB and DRM; whether all-digital broadcasting on the U.S. AM or FM bands is or would be a good idea; how important you feel PAD data and other enhanced features are; and whether you’d ever support an FCC mandate to switch to digital.

Click here to access the survey. We’ll share the results that he gathers from this informal poll.
