Engineer Paul Thurst, CPBE, is curious about current views of digital radio in the United States, so he’s taking an informal survey.
Thurst is the owner of Data Wave LLC, a broadcast engineering firm based in New York state’s Hudson Valley region. He has 35 years of experience in the radio industry and is a member of the Radio Club of America.
Questions include your opinions of HD Radio, DAB and DRM; whether all-digital broadcasting on the U.S. AM or FM bands is or would be a good idea; how important you feel PAD data and other enhanced features are; and whether you’d ever support an FCC mandate to switch to digital.
