Empire State Building Will Exhibit at NAB

It has been a center of radio since 1931 and is the tallest structure in the region.

The ESB will be at the NAB Show.

Not the whole building, unfortunately; but it’s the first time the famous building’s management will exhibit.

Empire will promote itself as a broadcast transmission platform, noting that it has been a center of radio since 1931 and is the tallest structure in the region. It also has the largest FM combiner system in the Western Hemisphere and is home to 19 FM and 25 television stations.

“These stations broadcast in both digital and analog formats and take advantage of The Empire State Building’s 1,504-foot height to reach the maximum potential audience in the nation’s No. 1 market,” its managers say. “With over 100 antennas, the Empire State Building also provides a variety of radio and data communications services to utility companies, telecommunications providers and public safety agencies.”

Here’s info about the broadcast facility of Empire including a history of the master antenna facilities.
