Digital Radio UK released an updated version of its Digital Tick specification back in July, and now Frontier Silicon’s Venus Colour platform is one of the first DAB digital radios to receive the new European-ready Digital Tick.

The updated version of Digital Tick aims to ensure devices are compatible with markets all across Europe. To do so, receivers are now required to display a full range of Latin-based scripts and receive signals across 38 Band III channels.

Digital Radio U.K. says that products with the new Digital Tick will be able to function in all European markets that have DAB/DAB+ services, including Denmark, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Norway, Switzerland and the U.K.
