GatesAir has announced the launch of two new products for its audio customers, the Flexiva FLX range of liquid-cooled transmitters and the VMXPress IP, an AES67-compliant audio and logic device.
The company explains that the Flexiva FLX transmitters are designed to remove heat from the RF plant by incorporating a heat-to-liquid transfer that eliminates the overhead of heating and then subsequently cools the air, moving transmitter heat to the outside through a liquid-to-air heat exchanger with redundant fan systems. These new transmitters aim to help broadcasters establish a greener facility for stations operating between 5 kW and 80 kW.
The VMXPress IP is part of GatesAir’s VistaMax portfolio that establishes a standards-based AoIP gateway for radio stations, said GatesAir. By leveraging the non-proprietary nature of ALC NetworX’s Ravenna network technology, VMXPress IP drives interoperability across the studio and signal transport architecture through its open, standards-based foundation. The system simplifies connectivity with audio processors, satellite receivers, phone systems, and studio support equipment, concludes the firm.
