IBC Sneak Peek: DEVA Displays Recent Range

Designed to give users additional control, flexibility

At IBC2014 DEVA Broadcast is showcasing two of its newest portfolio extensions: the DB6000 FM audio processor and the DB7007 rebroadcast receiver.

Featuring an integrated DSP-based stereo encoder with advanced peak control and two independently configurable composite MPX outputs, the DB6000 gives broadcasters control over sonic parameters and assures clean, artifact free audio, says DEVA. Its IP audio player supports MP3, AAC+ and PCM audio formats as well as a dynamic RDS/RBDS encoder.

Designed to help users solve critical rebroadcast scenarios, the DB7007 is fitted with a monitoring system. In the event of signal loss the DB7007 can notify engineers and switch to a second RF source or backup audio. It can be operated and updated via the Web and smartphones. If the unit detects failure of the second station, it will shift to the incorporated IP stream, MP3/AAC back-up audio source player. The IF bandwidth filter guarantees optimum signal selectivity, the firm says, while adjacent-channel problems are solved.

DEVA will also demonstrate its Radio Explorer II mobile FM radio analyzer and coverage survey tool, SmartGen 6.0 RDS/RBDS encoder and the second generation of the DB9009-RX/TX series.
