Hosa Technology has introduced the CBT-500 handheld cable tester.
The 9 V battery-powered CBT-500 has almost every connector imaginable, making it a suitable one-stop checker for almost every cable in a facility. Besides the standards such as XLR (three- and five-pin), RCA, 1/4-inch it also offers USB (Type A and B), Ethernet (RJ-45) and SpeakOn.
The tester can test specific pins of certain connector types. An additional feature included is a pair of removable test probes for checking problematic cables and installed connectors.
