ENCO Supports Launch of Tethkar 107.4 in Qatar

Arabic-language station blends cultural programming with upgraded automation and visual tools

From the Radio World “Who’s Buying What” page: The Olive Suno Radio Network in Doha, Qatar, has launched a new FM station with ENCO Systems’ integrated AoIP, automation and multi-camera production solutions.

Tethkar 107.4 FM becomes the network’s third station. A LinkedIn post from Olive Suno’s co-founder Ameer Ali said the station celebrates “the rich tapestry of Arabic culture.”

The network has partnered with ENCO since 2016, using its automation offerings for Radio Olive 106.3 and Radio Suno 91.7. Olive Suno also uses ENCO’s automation for its streaming stations, Olive Nepal and Suno Lanka.

Tethkar 107.4 is housed in new studios within Olive Suno’s existing facility and includes an integrated AoIP network.

ENCO said that the addition of Tethkar resulted in an upgrade to the group’s on-air playout system, as well as the implementation of WebDAD, ENCO’s browser-based remote access solution. WebDAD allows authorized users to control studio operations from any location.
