Radio 2WAY Installs AEQ Boards

Digital studio project for a community station in New South Wales

From our Who’s Buying What page: Australia’s Radio 2WAY chose AEQ Capitol IP consoles for a digital conversion project.

The community station is in Wauchope in New South Wales, serving the Port Macquarie Hastings Council region.

“2WAY FM’s original setup included a series of balance amplifiers connected with a tangle of cables that no one currently knew very well, so the station members felt they had limited knowledge of how to replace the studio equipment,” AEQ said in a press release.

Ross Wheeler of Radio Tank FM recommended the services of Broadcast Components, an AEQ local partner.

Capitol IP boards are used in Studios 1 and 2; they integrate with existing CD players via a Henry Engineering Twinmatch.

An AEQ Netbox32 allows for audio switching from the studios and from air, connected via Dante. A Solidyne 542APC audio processor provides RDS, five-band processing and audio quality analyzer.
