Telos Updates Software for Axia Quasar XR & SR Consoles

Version 3.2 adds greater remote access, programmable hotkeys and other new UI features

Telos Alliance has announced software updates for its Axia Quasar XR and SR line of AoIP mixing consoles.

The company says it expects the update to be available to its customers through its Axia channel partners by March 31.

Quasar version 3.2 includes improvements to Quasar Soft, which is the optional browser-based remote control for XR and SR consoles. Telos said the remote control was previously only available on hardware surfaces.

The audio manufacturer said Quasar Soft users will now be able to use the call control feature to operate Telos VX phone systems as well as intercom control to manage Telos Infinity intercom systems. Users will also gain 32 programmable hot keys in the full monitor section along with four programmable hot keys on each channel strip to control external devices.

Telos said these features also extend to its Quasar Engine RPS, which uses Quasar Soft to control connected surfaces or to produce a standalone mixer.

Quasar Soft also offers new “slider-type” faders, according to the manufacturer, along with dynamic scaling of its browser window which suits smaller monitors, tablets and mobile devices.

Telos will be demoing its Quasar version 3.2 software at its booth at the 2025 NAB Show.
