Best of Show: Telos Alliance Omnia XII Processor

New flagship box is for FM, HD Radio and DAB applications

We are featuring the products that won the Radio World Best of Show Award at the 2026 NAB Show. Winners were chosen by a panel of engineers and RW editorial staff for their innovation, feature set, cost efficiency and performance in serving the industry. Information about how the program works can be found in a FAQ here.

Targeting FM, HD Radio and DAB, the Omnia XII is the new flagship processor from Telos, developed by Frank Foti and the Omnia team.

In two rack units it includes a wideband AGC; five-band multiband AGC and compressor; and a six-band multiband limiter, coupled with “smart” dynamic EQ and refined bass management tools.

Telos says the multiband section feeds a clipper based on research into delivering on-air loudness while eliminating distortion and listener fatigue that can come with aggressive processing. (The clipper is called “Clemenza” after a character in “The Godfather.”)

Its toolkit includes a dynamic RDS encoder, ratings watermark integration and an insertion point that allows external devices such as the Voltair to be introduced at the “sweet spot” in the airchain.
