Roland has launched a potentially useful portable interface widget, the Tri-Capture.
The Tri-Capture is a USB interface with three types of inputs: XLR, 1/4-inch (with Hi-Z mode) and an RCA aux stereo pair.
Each input has a gain control. The Tri-Capture uses USB for power and output. There is also a headphone output for monitoring along with 1/4-inch outputs.
Performance for the Tri-Capture is 24-bit/96 kHz. Cakewalk Sonar X1 LE ships with it. It is compatible with Windows and Mac systems.
