ARX rolls out small mic splitter

A microphone splitter is one of those unappreciated audio tools whose mission isn’t recognized until it is needed. And there’s never one around when you need it.

Interface maker ARX Systems is trying to change that. The MSX-12 is a four-in/12-out (all XLR) rack-mounted box designed specifically for smaller splitting jobs than the usual live sound/installation jobs where splitters are more common.

ARX Managing Director Colin Park said: “We developed the MSX-12 in response to requests for a smaller format version of our popular MSX-48 16-channel splitter.”

Each input channel is a three-way split. The MSX-12 is passive and transformer-isolated.
