Tieline Bridge-IT Goes a Little Bit ‘Xtra’

Meet Bridge-IT and Genie at NAB

Tieline will bring several new codec products to the 2013 NAB Show. It will be expanding on its Bridge-IT, Genie and Report-IT Enterprise platforms.

The latest Bridge-IT is the Bridge-IT Xtra (shown). The single rack unit IP codec features the functions of the Bridge-IT codec and adds to them. It includes an LCD display, PPM metering and dialing key pad, plus additions such as dual power supplies, front-panel stereo headphone out and four GPIO in/outs. Standard features are EBU N/ACIP Tech 3326 compatibility; XLR analog and digital AES3 in/out; SDHC card audio backup; IPv4/IPv6 compatibility; Web-GUI command and control; and RS-232 data.

Tieline’s newest Genie is the Genie STL, an STL-grade IP audio codec with multiple levels of power, audio and network redundancy. Designed for continuous operation over vital audio paths in broadcast networks, it can be used for stereo studio-to-transmitter links, studio-to-studio links and other mission-critical connections, says Tieline.

The Genie STL features dual Gigabit LAN ports, dual redundant power supplies, IPv4/v6 and 24-bit/96 kHz audio sampling. Additional features include remote control and network-wide management tools, plus Tieline’s SmartStream IP management software. The Genie STL also has the Opus algorithm.

The latest on Tieline’s Report-IT Enterprise smartphone codec/recording app is that the app includes the Opus codec and a new Android administrator application.
