BBC World Service Radio Available on Nigerian Mobile Phones

Programs available in both English and Hausa

LONDON � Nigerians can now get the latest news from the BBC on their mobile phones. BBC World Service is collaborating with ZenoRadio to give on-demand radio access to any mobile phone on any mobile network in Nigeria in either English or Hausa.

All 132 million active mobile devices in Nigeria can now access BBC World Service programs, with English language programs, including �Newsday� and �Focus on Africa,� streaming live around the clock and programs in Hausa streamed live at 6:30 a.m., 3 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. Nigeria Time, then repeated until the next program is broadcast.

Users can access the service by dialing (01)4405-222 and chose the language they prefer. Calls are charged at a normal rate, according to network packages and tariffs.
