Germany’s Second National Digital Radio Network Provider Chosen

Three companies bid for the right to operate the new mux, which is expected to carry up to 18 national radio stations

BERLIN ��Antenne Deutschland GmbH & Co. KG will be the new platform provider for Germany�s second nationwide DAB + multiplex, reports radiowoche.de.

Antenna Deutschland GmbH & Co. KG is a consortium of companies, including Absolut DigitalGmbH & Co. KG, represented by Managing Director Willi Schreiner, Nuremberg, and MEDIA BROADCAST Digital Radio GmbH, represented by Managing Director Wolfgang Breuer, Cologne. Media Broadcast already operates the first DAB+ multiplex, in place since 2011.

Three companies bid for the right to operate the new multiplex, which is expected to carry up to 18 national radio stations, according to telecompaper.��
