JACKSONVILLE, Fla.�Some Florida radio fans may need to adjust their dials, as iHeartMedia Jacksonville recently announced a pair of programming changes for local stations. The changes involved moving Planet Radio, which plays active rock, to 97.3 from its previous location on 106.9, meanwhile launching the new Project 106.9.
Project 106.9 is a simulcast of WQIK(HD2) and will play alternative rock. Skip Kelly, who serves as programming director for 107.3 JACK FM, will take on the same role for Project 106.9.
Planet Radio moved to 97.3 on Friday, Jan. 22. Project 106.9 went live as of Jan. 25.
