Pravasi Bharathi Fires Up 200 KW DRM Transmitter in Abu Dhabi

Malayalam digital radio has started transmission in AM and DRM

ABU DHABI, United Arab Emirates�Pravasi�Bharathi�810 AM, the world�s firstMalayalam digital radio, has started transmission in AM and DRM (Digital Radio�Mondiale) mode on Jan. 22 using a 200 kW�Nautel�NX200 transmitter, according toDRM news.�

AM transmission is scheduled from 5 a.m. to 12:10 a.m., and DRM transmission from 12:10 a.m. to 5 a.m. local time. The transmitter and antenna is located�at Al�Maqta, Abu Dhabi,�around 15�kilometers�away from the studio.
