SHANGHAI ��During the recent Mobile World Congress Shanghai, Qualcomm announced new products, including its�Snapdragon automotive platform, which was selected for the next-generation of infotainment systems in Chinese carmaker Geely Auto Group’s vehicles.
Geely vehicles featuring Snapdragon are expected to be available beginning in 2020, reports rcrwireless.com.
Some models are expected to use the Snapdragon platform with an integrated X12 LTE modem, supporting up to 600 Mbps down and 150 Mbps up. This solution is designed to provide �in-car cloud connectivity to support key features, such as over-the-air updates, navigation with real-time updates, news and local information, emergency assistance and diagnostics,� according to the same article.
