HAVANT, England ��Angel Radio�went on air in March 2002, on 101.1MHz FM; and now, thanks to the DAB mini-muxes currently in use in England, Angel Radio can be heard in west Sussex, other parts of Hampshire and the Isle of Wight.
Angel Radio provides music for older listeners around the borough of Havant, Hampshire, along the southern coast of England.�The station provides�entertainment and information 24 hours per day, seven days per week, focusing on music recorded prior to 1960.�
It operates on a small budget with income from diverse sources, including advertising local businesses,�donations and sponsorship of radio programs. They also receive small funding grants from local councils, the National Lottery, Age Concern and local businesses.

According to its website, the Angel Radio team numbers over 70 volunteers; several are in their 80s, most are over 60, and have never worked in radio before. �
