John Graham, engineering director for Strong Tower Christian Media, took this fantastic photo of WLW(AM)’s famed, controversial and retired 500 kW transmission system. It operated in the mid-late 1930s until the early 1940s.
Bonus engineering coolness, a Blaw-Knox tower was also part of the operation.
Graham notes “It takes up the back part of the building.” He achieved the unusually wide panorama shot with a Droid Turbo smartphone set in panorama mode.
