A broadcast engineer walking the floor of the New York Auto Show sends us this pic of local WCBS(FM) HD2 station displayed on a 2015 Volkswagen Jetta. He says it’s “cool and relevant” and shows where automotive entertainment systems, and radio, are going and that analog stations will become invisible on the dash.
The radio accomplishes all this over-the-air with HD Radio technology and is not dependent on a cellular connection to deliver the station logos, which are part of the Artist Experience feature of HD Radio.
