iHeartMedia Makes Western Personnel Decisions

Matteo takes over Central California/Nevada, Lewis moves up in Phoenix

iHeartMedia has named Tony Matteo as region senior vice president of programming for its Central California/Nevada region; and iHeartMedia Phoenix’s KNIX(FM) has picked Lois Lewis for assistant program director and music director, effective July 17.

Matteo will work with on-air personalities and program directors from the 36 radio station brands in iHeartMedia’s Central California/Nevada region to oversee on-air content and music programming.

He previously worked as the region SVP of programming for iHeartMedia’s Omaha region based in Wichita, Kan. He also served as the PD for WHLK(FM) in Cleveland and PD for iHeartMedia Springfield, Mo.

In Phoenix at KNIX Lois Lewis will be responsible for record label relations, concert booking, as well as on-air content and music programming. She will also continue to host her midday show.

Prior to this, she worked as the assistant program director and music director for iHeart Las Vegas’ KWNR(FM). She also worked as the senior director of regional promotion for Republic Nashville and helped launch the careers of artists like Florida Georgia Line and The Band Perry. Prior to the record industry, Lewis was the music director and night host for KIIM(FM) in Tucson, Ariz. She holds degrees from Arizona State University in broadcast journalism and mass communications.
