Nexus Adds New Specialist

Also promotes Gutierres to VP of operations

Broadcast consultancy Nexus Broadcast has added Dustin Williams as a new technical services specialist. The company also promoted John Gutierres Jr. from a consultant to vice president of operations.

Williams has an associate of applied sciences degree in electronics technology engineering and is a certified electronics technician. He also holds a general class amateur radio license and operates a part 15 AM radio station and Internet station.

He first contacted Nexus as a customer who needed filing assistance, and the company recognized that his knowledge of LPFM radio and broadcasting equipment would be valuable to customers.

In addition to working for Nexus, Williams owns and operates Global Spice LLC, which installs and services two-way communications equipment and custom electronics.

Williams is based in Edgars, Neb.

John Gutierres Jr broke into the radio industry as a radio talk show host for KKXI(FM), then worked in broadcast production and engineering, eventually becoming an LPFM operator.

He later served as CEO and president of Soulclay Entertainment Group LLC. In his next venture, he was named business development manager for American Charities Inc. Gutierres is now also the president of Conexus LPFM Advocacy Daily.

Gutierres says he sees his work at Nexus as an “opportunity to serve the existing and future LPFM community.”

He is based at Nexus’ Mount Vernon, Texas office.
