Audio equipment manufacturer Fostex has released the FM-1, a small single-channel, battery-operable portable preamp.
The pocket-sized FM-1 offers phantom power (48 V) along with T12V power for the location folks. It includes a high-pass filter (80 Hz and 160 Hz), limiter and output attenuator.
A headphone output (1/8-inch) has a level control. The mic input has steppable gain trim, with nine steps.
