Next year at this time, Radio World will turn 50! That’s an amazing accomplishment for a media brand, though really not a surprise given how loyal our readers and advertisers are and how resilient this publication has been throughout our proud history.
With our big birthday in mind, we’ve decided to tweak the frequency of the Radio World magazine to reflect how readers and advertisers want to consume our content. Starting with the current issue, the magazine will arrive in subscriber mailboxes once per month, or 12 times per year, plus our annual Source Book & Directory.
The daily Radio World SmartBrief newsletter and our other offerings are not affected.
As part of this shift we’re also planning to include more “deep dive” engineering content in the magazine, building on the popularity of the RW Engineering Extra e-newsletter.
Advertisers continue to support and value print publications. They also want to be present in your digital life, via our website, the daily SmartBrief, in ebooks and other digital platforms. So a monthly magazine with a daily SmartBrief is the best fit for the mix of platforms our advertisers seek. This change will be a good one and will help propel Radio World through its next 50 years.
As always let me know your thoughts about any aspect of Radio World at [email protected]. And as we head toward turning 50, please know how much all of us here appreciate you and the time you spend with us.
