Here’s a photo of me as board op at student-run WSHJ(FM) in Southfield, Mich., circa 1970 sporting the venerable EV 635A. Only the experienced upperclassmen got to use the “triple six” EV 666!

Note the FCC licenses in the background, mostly “Third Class Radiotelephone Operator’s Permit with Broadcast Endorsement.”
