AIR Deploys 100+ AEQ Audio Consoles

Falcon Technologies was partner on the job for All India Radio

From our Who’s Buying What page: AEQ and its local partner Falcon Technologies won a big order to supply and install more than 100 audio consoles for All India Radio.

“AEQ has been awarded the project to supply digital consoles for three types of studios, all of them with IP connectivity based on Dante technology in more than 33 cities throughout India,” the manufacturer announced. The installation has taken place throughout 2021 and 2022.

AIR is the national public radio broadcaster of India, a division of Prasar Bharati.

“Transmission” studios were equipped with AEQ Capitol IP 12 TT desktop consoles, each with 12 faders, four microphones, four AES/EBU inputs and outputs, 12 analog inputs and eight outputs, control and paging monitoring and 16 Dante bidirectional channels. Thirty-five of those consoles were installed, plus a spare.

“Switching” studios were developed based on the Capitol IP8 TT desktop console. Thirty-two of those and a spare were provided.

“Dubbing” studios use AEQ Capitol IP12 TT desktop consoles with AEQ Netbox 4MH AoIP terminals with capacity for additional microphones and stereo headphone outputs. Again, 32 consoles and a spare were installed.

The 100 consoles were programmed at the AEQ factory with configuration as requested by the AIR technicians, which included special functions, programmable keys and work modes where a console of one of the studios interacted with the consoles of the other two.
