DRM Plans Workshop at ABU DBS 2017

Workshop is titled “Digital Radio Mondiale — Practical Implementation for Success”

The Digital Radio Mondiale Consortium has carved itself a spot on the agenda for the upcoming Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union Digital Broadcasting Symposium, announcing it will lead the “Digital Radio Mondiale — Practical Implementation for Success” workshop.

The workshop, which will be held on March 7 from 4:15 to 5:30 p.m. local time in conference room Taming Sari 3, is designed to give delegates the opportunity for updates on the steps of a successful DRM rollout.

This goes along with the symposium’s theme for 2017 of focusing on the embracing and implementing of digital technologies, as per the ABU-DBS website. To attend the workshop, contact projectoffice@drm.org.

To support the workshop and give delegates the opportunity to experience DRM broadcasts, Babcock International will provide a live DRM transmission from 5 to 6 p.m. local time (9 to 10 a.m. UTC) on 7410 kHz.

DRM will also be present on booth number 33 throughout the show, which takes place from March 6–9 at the Royal Chulan in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
