2015 Radio Show Launches Young Professionals Program

New track targets radio professionals aged 35 and younger

ATLANTA�The new technology that will help take the radio industry forward will certainly be on display at the upcoming 2015 Radio Show, but new to the conference this year will be a program dedicated to another important factor in determining radio�s future � young professionals.

TheRadio Showwill feature the newYoung Professionals Program, a series of panels designed to help radio professionals under the age of 35 flourish in their careers, as well as pitch the radio industry itself on why it is worthwhile to invest in these careers.

To try to meet these goals, the Radio Show will hold five panels that will show what the radio industry has to offer young professionals and the best ways to break in and advance. The sessions include �The Coffee Colloquy: Generational Disconnects and Managing Up,� �Asked and Answered,� �Choose Your Own Adventure,� �An Integrated World,� and �If I Knew Then, Now� Wow.�

�The Coffee Colloquy� examines the generational differences between managers and executives and young professionals, and features a panel made-up by Tim Clarke, senior director, digital audience � radio, Cox Media Group; Kim Guthrie, executive vice president, radio, Cox Media Group; Andrew Harby, local sales manager, Neuhoff Media; and Mike Hulvey, executive vice president and COO, Neuhoff Communications.

�Asked and Answered� is a speed mentoring session that will divide attendees into small groups that will meet with industry leaders to ask them any question they want. Participate in this session include Amy Leimbach, regional director of business development, Alpha Media; Jason Garte, founder and president, The Mix Group and Mix Talent Management; Haz Montana, vice president of content, Univision Radio; Heidi Raphael, vice president of corporate communications, Greater Media, and more. This session will immediately be followed by �Chose Your Own Adventure,� where attendees will pick and learn about a topic of their choosing.

�An Integrated World� panel will help young professionals realize how radio and the current digital environment intersect and how it can impact the future of radio. Panelists for this session include Heather Cohen, executive vice president, The Weiss Agency; Scot Finck, senior vice president, promotion, Disney Music Group; and CJ Morgan, On-air talent and digital content producer for KLBJ(FM).

The final session of the day, �If I Knew Then, Now� Wow,� will have industry leaders share their real-life experiences of how they grew in the radio industry and the lessons they learned along the way.� Chase Rupe, vice president of programming and operations for Emmis Austin Radio will take part in this session, along with Jose Valle, president of political and advocacy sales for Univision, and Jenna Fox, local sales manager for Scripps.

All attendees under the age of 35 are eligible to register for the Young Professionals Program for the special rate of $259. The program will take place Sept. 30, with sessions running from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The 2015 Radio Show will be held in Atlanta from Sept. 30 to Oct. 2.
