MUNICH�Ravenna developer, ALC NetworX, has announced that two new companies have partnered with Ravenna: Modulation Index from California, and 2wcom from the Schleswig-Holstein in Germany.
Ravenna is a technology for the real-time distribution of audio and other media content in IP-based network environments. Using standardized network protocols and technologies, Ravenna can operate on existing network infrastructures.
Modulation Index focuses on streaming audio on the Internet and its products include StreamS Audio Encoder to support new and legacy streaming protocols; and StreamS PADbridge, a live metadata management system for promoting revenue generation for streaming, FM RDS/RBDS, HD radio, websites and digital signage. Modulation Index are Ravenna are now teaming up to provide audio-over-IP connectivity to bridge between in-house program sources and Internet streaming.
2wcom offers complete end-to-end DVB-S/S2 Audio/IP satellite system solutions including professional encoders, modulators, and an IRD product range. The partnership between Ravenna and 2wcom formed as 2wcom decided to go with Ravenna for audio-over-IP interoperability standards. 2wcom customers also made a push for Ravenna compliance, according to Werner Drews, 2wcom founder.
