The Alabama Broadcasters Association’s Engineering Academy will return with a full slate of radio and TV engineering classes for 2015.
For beginning and prospective radio engineers, the standard Radio Broadcast Engineering Class will be taught Feb. 16–20 and again July 13–17 at the ABA’s training center in Hoover, Ala.
The course focuses on the basics: basic electronics, audio fundamentals, AM transmission, FM transmission and station operation.
A three-day Radio Advanced Class is scheduled for March 9–11. Other related events, including one-day specials, are in the planning stages.
All of the courses are free. A coinciding SBE certification exam can be arranged for a fee. For more information contact Academy Director Larry Wilkins.
