AEQ has added to its router offerings with the introduction of the Impact summing/distributing digital audio router.
The equipment is available in modules of 12×12 AES-EBU circuits, and is scalable up to 60×60 circuits. It can be used in combination with Caddy AD/DA converters for accepting analog signals.
Impact can sum any number of inputs over each output. It uses a Sampling Rate Converter at all inputs, and optionally can incorporate a redundant power supply and regulation of input and output levels.
The device is computer-controlled and can be remote-controlled via the Easy Control Port, an RS 422 control connector with a duplex bus.
